Partial tuition scholarships will be given to outstanding students
who demonstrate strong academic credentials and interest in attending
the Summer Intensive College English program. These students will have
the opportunity to take advantage of the unique approach to English
language instruction only available through this program.
To be eligible, students must meet all eligibility requirements for the program including being between 15 and 19 years old. Students must write a 300 - 500 word essay responding to one of the questions below. Completed essays should be submitted by completing the online scholarship application below.
1. Write a well-written, academic style essay in response to one of the essay prompts above. Be sure to proofread your work carefully and save your essay in a word processing document (such as Microsoft Word .doc or .docx file) that can be uploaded online. Students must be between the ages of 15 and 19 to apply for this program and scholarship. Please contact us with any questions.

Option 1: In many countries English is the primary language of instruction at universities. Do you support this policy? Why or why not?
Option 2: Some people believe that
having a global language, such as English, is an asset because it allows
for greater communication and exchanges between cultures. Others
believe that it destroys native and local languages, thus reducing the
world’s linguistic richness. State and explain your opinion.
Scholarship Application Instructions
The scholarship application deadline is March 15, 2014. Applicants to the Summer Intensive College English scholarship fund should do the following in order to be considered :1. 3. Submit a completed program application. All application materials must also be received by March 15, 2014.
4. Scholarship applicants will be notified of a decision by April 15, 2014.
